JOB PURPOSE:
The Transportation Lead at Pecos Children’s Center has a central role in overseeing the organization’s fleet and drivers. Their responsibilities encompass managing vehicle logs, designing optimal routes, scheduling drivers, and maintaining essential documentation. Ensuring the safety of vehicles, routes, and staffing is paramount for every transportation journey, with any concerns promptly reported to the Chief of Logistics. The Transportation Lead also holds a critical responsibility for safeguarding the migrant populations associated with the center, along with enforcing stringent COVID-19 guidelines, which involve limiting passenger numbers, providing and ensuring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and upholding rigorous cleanliness and sanitation standards for the transportation vehicles.
