Public Health Officer (Pecos, TX)

JOB PURPOSE: The Public Health Officer is responsible for the development, direction, implementation, management and operation of the infection prevention in the health care facility. The infection preventionist reports to the Medical Compliance Officer and will work to identify, investigate, monitor, and report healthcare-associated infections and communicable diseases. The Public Health Officer collaborates with teams and individuals to create, educate, and sustain infection prevention strategies, as well as provide feedback. Public Health Officer conducts ongoing staff development, training and quality assurance performance improvement monitoring to insure adherence with the organizational standards, professional guidelines, state, and federal regulations.
