Chief of Training (Pecos, TX)

JOB PURPOSE: Reporting to the Sr. Deputy Director of the Pecos Children?s Center and under the direction the Migrant Services Chief of Training, this position?s primary purpose is to provide direction, vision, and accountability to the Pecos Children?s Center (PCC) training department. In addition to being the on the ground leader at PCC for all aspects of training, this individual will be responsible for the quality and compliance of the training content, the accuracy of the training records, and the overall operations of the department.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Function as the on-site Subject Matter Expert on all ORR and PCC-contractual training requirements.

? Oversee all aspects of training at PCC ? both training provided by the Training Department, specialized training provided within individual PCC departments and externally-provided training that is required of any PCC staff.

? Supervise the training team, including all staff of the training department any other PCC staff who have a primary training responsibility though housed in another department.

? Ensure a common training philosophy of serving the PCC community and strong customer service in all aspects of the training program.

? Ensure that staff receive training on all required topics as specified by the Office of Refugee Resettlement.

? Provide on-site and virtual trainings to staff. Active engagement in training delivery is expected.

? Ensure that the training records are accurate, up-to-date, and reportable to the Associate Director of Migrant Services Training.

? Provide, on demand, a listing of all staff with any form of training delinquency, along with a plan for compliance for any delinquent staff.

? Assist the Associate Director for Migrant Services with curriculum development to meet project and staff learning needs.

? Serve as Point of Contact, along with MS AD for Training and the Migrant Services Director for Training and Compliance, for the ORR Training and Technical Assistance unit, implementing all aspects of the ORR learning management system as required.

? Oversee the completion of weekly and monthly training reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

? Observe staff conducting training at PCC to provide evaluation, constructive feedback and quality improvement.

? Other duties as assigned
