About us

Endeavors’ Community Behavioral Health Services is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals of all ages—children, adolescents, and adults—across Texas.

We provide compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health support, tailored to meet each person’s unique needs. Whether in-person or virtually, our goal is to help every individual overcome their mental health challenges with care and understanding.

How Do We Help?

  • Mental Health Counseling: Confidential therapy with a licensed clinician to address mental health concerns. Therapies include, but not limited to:
    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
    • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
    • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Substance Use Disorder Counseling: Support and treatment for overcoming substance dependence. 
  • Medication Management: Evaluation and management of psychiatric medications by a board-certified psychiatrist or nurse practitioner.
  • Behavioral Health Case Management: Assistance with navigating the mental health system to ensure clients receive appropriate care and resources.

Who Is Eligible for our Grant-Based Programs? 

Our Veteran Mental Health Program

Self-Referral Acceptable

  • Pre-9/11 veterans seeking mental health and/or substance use services.
  • Post-9/11 veterans with chronic mental health issues (such as psychosis or personality disorders) and/or substance use disorders.
  • Veteran dependents, including spouses and adult children (ages 18-24) seeking care for chronic mental health issues or substance use disorders.

The Community Violence Support Program (“Stand Up SA” Program)

Self-Referral Acceptable

  • Survivors of gun violence: individuals who have directly experienced gun-related incidents.
  • Individuals exposed to gun violence: those who have witnessed or been affected by gun violence in their community.
  • Those at risk of being victims of gun violence: individuals exposed to environments or circumstances that increase vulnerability to gun-related harm.

The Domestic Violence Support Program

Referrals must come through San Antonio Metro Health

  • Survivors of domestic violence: individuals who have been physically, emotionally, or sexually abused by a partner or spouse. This includes those who have left an abusive relationship or are seeking ongoing support for recovery.
  • Individuals exposed to domestic violence: those who have witnessed or been indirectly affected by domestic violence, including children, family members, or friends of the survivor who may experience secondary trauma.

The Community School Based Services Program

Referrals only allowed through Judson ISD.

Provides mental health counseling to students K-12 students at Judson Independent School District (in partnership with San Antonio Mobile Mental Wellness Collaborative).

Endeavors Safe Services Program

Self-Referral Acceptable

Endeavors provides client-focused services directly to survivors of crime in Bexar County, Texas as well as the seven surrounding counties. These trauma-recovery services assist a survivor’s recovery and support them through the criminal justice process.

Ryan Curran, LPC-S

Regional Director of Clinical Services

Ryan Curran is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board-Approved Supervisor with extensive experience in both clinical and leadership roles. As the Regional Director of Integrated Clinical Services at Endeavors, he leads teams focused on delivering comprehensive behavioral health services to diverse communities, and implements new behavioral health initiatives within Health and Wellness, further enhancing the integration of care across these areas.

Ryan has held key leadership positions, including Clinical Director and Chief Clinical Officer, where he successfully guided organizations through complex challenges and enhanced clinical practices to improve client outcomes. He is passionate about mentoring future professionals and creating programs that allow for holistic change.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and Australian Shepherd. He also finds inspiration in listening to jazz and tending the family garden.

Max Knoll began employment at Endeavors in September of 2022 as a Clinician for the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic before quickly becoming a Supervising Clinician and now Director of Behavioral Health. As Director, Max oversees several programs, including services for Military Veterans needing substance abuse counseling and/or long-term mental health care, as well as programs providing behavioral health for vulnerable populations in our community, and victims of crime and domestic violence. 

Prior to joining Endeavors, Max worked for over ten years for the Department of Veterans Affairs in multiple capacities. They began their VA career as a Readjustment Counselor at a Vet Center in Ohio, providing individual and group therapy primarily for Combat Veterans. During their time at the Vet Center, they became passionate about also serving those who had experienced Military Sexual Trauma (MST). Max then transferred to the South Texas Veterans Health Care System where they created and facilitated programs directly serving MST survivors.  

While at the San Antonio VA, Max started as a therapist on a Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program team, eventually moving up to supervisor and then Program Director for the Balcones Heights Mental Health Outpatient Clinic. They also held a role as the Women’s Mental Health Coordinator and was a member of the LGBTQ Special Emphasis Program, the LPC Intern Training Program, and the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Treatment team.  

Max was motivated to pursue a career in counseling after their discharge from the United States Air Force in 2010. Max had enlisted after 9/11 and became an Airborne Arabic Linguist, serving one tour with the Air Force for Operation Enduring Freedom and then two tours with the Army to Iraq. Upon discharge, they used their GI Bill to attain a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Ariana Marin is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been with Endeavors since 2021. Ariana earned a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from California State University - Long Beach and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Ariana decided to start a career path of becoming a therapist after leaving the military service in the United States Air Force.  

Ariana enjoys working with individuals to navigate the challenges of life. Areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, transitions and adjustments, self-esteem, and relational difficulties. Ariana is originally from Costa Rica and can conduct assessments and therapy in both English and Spanish. 

Ariana works from a systemic, collaborative approach that features strength-based, and cognitive therapeutic approaches to promote healing, resilience, and growth. Techniques include solution/strengths focused practice, therapeutic alliance, psychoeducation, mindfulness, grief work, cognitive behavioral therapy, goal identification and creation, safety planning and coping strategies and conflict resolution.

Mandy Randall is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an evidence-based approach for treating PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other distressing life events.

With eight years of experience in diverse mental health settings, Mandy specializes in assisting adults navigating trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, suicidality, self-harm, chronic pain, caregiving responsibilities, and neurodiverse differences.

Mandy is dedicated to making therapy efficient and effective. Utilizing a Solution-Focused Brief Therapy orientation and Harm Reduction approach, she empowers clients to uncover their desires, create their own vision for resolution, and discover skills to live a life centered around their wants and needs.

Teresa Jackson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and she started her career at Endeavors in 2020. She started as a clinician working under the Victims of Crime Act programs, providing behavioral health services to Endeavor’s housing program clients. Teresa now works with clients in multiple programs to address life’s challenges, including coping with trauma, domestic violence, and phase of life issues. She focuses on empowering participants to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth.  

Prior to joining Endeavors, Teresa was a health care specialist in the U.S. Army. She spent time at Fort Campbell with the 101st Airborne Division and Fort Sam Houston. She uses her military experience to give her a unique perspective, combining discipline with compassionate care. 

Driven by a passion for improving mental health, Teresa attended Texas State University where she obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work. She has developed proficiencies in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused-CBT, Moral Reconation Therapy, and trauma informed practices. She has also received training in play therapy and is working to become a Registered Play Therapist.  

Outside of her work at Endeavors, Teresa is an advocate for disability awareness and inclusivity, she collaborates for accessibility in the community. She also enjoys crafting, gaming, and spending time outdoors, finding balance and inspiration in these activities. 

Sabrina Lozano, LCSW

Sabrina Lozano began employment at Endeavors in May of 2022 as a Clinician for Behavioral Health. As a clinician, she has assisted with several programs providing behavioral health services for Military Veterans, first responders, and vulnerable populations in our community, including victims of domestic violence. 

Prior to joining Endeavors, Sabrina worked in multiple capacities in the mental health field for over seven years. She began her career as a Social Services Director for a nursing home. Sabrina spent a majority of her career as a mental health caseworker providing individual and group services primarily for the migrant population, both adults and children. During her time working with the migrant population, she became the Lead Mental Health Case Worker, providing short term individual and crisis therapy services. Sabrina has also provided individual therapy services to adolescents and adults working within private practice, focusing on anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and trauma related issues.  

Sabrina was motivated to pursue a career in social work to create a safe and supportive environment by which to help individuals cope with difficult situations. She obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work: Mental Health and Substance Abuse in 2017. She became a fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in May 2023.  

Sabrina currently offers the following therapy types: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Written Exposure Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She is also trained and certified in Critical Incident Stress Management for both individuals and groups.

Tori Parker began employment with Endeavors in April 2023 as a School-Based Clinician for Community Behavioral Health Services (CBHS). As a school-based clinician, Tori primarily provides individual psychotherapy services to students (Pre-K and up), staff members, and selected family members of students within the Judson Independent School District. Tori also supports additional programs within CBHS, such as those serving military veterans, unhoused person, and domestic violence survivors.   

Prior to joining Endeavors, Tori worked as a Program Manager, Case Manager, and Therapist at San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. In addition to administrative duties, Tori served children, adolescents, and adults, ranging from low to high acuity.  

Originally from Houston, TX, Tori moved to San Antonio in February 2021. Since then, she has served as a Qualified Mental Health Professional at Crystal Counseling, while simultaneously completing coursework in her master’s program. Tori graduated with a master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Couples Counseling from Lamar University in the Summer of 2021. Previously, Tori obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from Sam Houston State University in the Fall of 2017, when her passion for mental health was ignited.  

Tori has an interest in all thing's wellness, whether it’s psychotherapy or physical well-being. She is currently pursuing certification to be a yoga instructor and continues to build her wealth of knowledge.

Ethan King began working with Endeavors in December 2023 as a Clinician for the Austin Rapid Rehousing program before quickly becoming integrated with several other programs working with Military Veterans for both behavioral health and substance related problems, victims of domestic violence, people experiencing homelessness, and family members of Custom and Border Protection officers. 

Ethan began his journey in becoming a mental health professional at King’s College London (KCL) with a Master’s in War and Psychiatry that focused on the impact of trauma on civilians and combat veterans. Ethan was compelled to pursue further education as a clinician from his studies at KCL. Ethan pursued his masters in Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Irvine (CUI). During his studies at CUI, Ethan worked for Foresight Mental health as an intake coordinator and became further convinced of his desire to work with individuals suffering from mental health problems.  

After entering clinical work, Ethan began working with individuals, couples, and groups, with a special emphasis on trauma. In addition, Ethan worked at an inpatient detox center with Recovery Unplugged and since then has focused on working with individuals with problematic substance and behavioral addictions. Ethan is passionate at normalizing people’s reactions to abnormal, traumatic circumstances and working with them to regulate their nervous systems through various therapy modalities. Ethan believes in people’s potential in life and relationships and works collaboratively to help his clients engage in their lives more connected to themselves and others.

Hakim Elamin is a dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a strong commitment to fostering mental and emotional well-being within diverse communities. With extensive experience in providing counseling, support services, and therapeutic interventions, Hakim works closely with individuals and families to address various life challenges, including trauma, mental health issues, and relationship dynamics. 

Hakim holds a master's degree in social work and has developed expertise in evidence-based practices, including EMDR, Gottman Marriage therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Critical Incident Stress Management, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention. Driven by a passion for social justice and advocacy, Hakim strives to empower clients to develop resilience and achieve personal growth. 

In addition to his work as a clinician, Hakim is an active advocate for mental health awareness and collaborates with community organizations to promote access to care. His empathetic approach and client-centered focus have earned him a reputation for compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

Leonor Carlos, LMSW, LCDC

Leonor Carlos, is a Licensed Master of Social Worker (LMSW) and retired Air Force combat veteran with extensive experience in trauma-informed care. She specializes in trauma therapy, including Written Exposure Therapy (WET), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and substance abuse counseling. 

Currently, she serves as a therapist supporting the largest veteran treatment court in Texas, where she provides compassionate and evidence-based care tailored to the unique needs of veterans. Her work focuses on addressing the complexities of trauma, fostering resilience, and promoting recovery within the veteran community. 

Prior to her current role, Leonor Carlos worked as a hospital case manager and Ombudsman for the state of Texas, where she advocated for injured first responders. In this capacity, she provided comprehensive support, ensuring access to vital resources and services for those facing life-altering challenges. As a dedicated professional with a commitment to service and advocacy, Leonor Carlos combines her military background and clinical expertise to empower individuals and communities to overcome adversity and thrive.

Lizette began her role as a clinician with Endeavors Community Behavioral Health Services in October of 2024. Lizette primarily serves as a School-Based Program Clinician, providing general mental health care to students in partnership with Judson Independent School District. Lizette also assists with serving some of the Clinic’s other programs, providing mental health care to Military Veterans and victims of domestic violence.  

Prior to joining Endeavors, Lizette worked with grieving families at the Children’s Bereavement Center for three years. Lizette also worked as part of the school-Based Program with the organization to provide grief support to underserved youth through individual therapy and peer-support groups.  

Lizette completed a master's in clinical mental health counseling at UTSA in 2022 and has since then grown her passion for providing accessible and safe spaces of connection, empathy, and empowerment as clients navigate various mental health issues. Lizette’s therapeutic approach is based on a strong trauma-informed foundation, person-centered therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. She enjoys incorporating somatic processing, creative and expressive arts, mindfulness, and self-compassion in sessions. Lizette is bilingual and can provide counseling to clients in English and Spanish. 

Verónica Reyes, LPC, LCDC

Verónica Reyes is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) with an MS degree. She is EMDR-certified and a LENS Neurofeedback provider. Currently, she is pursuing certification in Perinatal Mental Health. 

Based in Laredo, Texas, Verónica is dedicated to serving first responders and their families at Endeavors. Her professional background includes over eight years in education, followed by extensive work with children and adult survivors of domestic violence, teenagers, and families navigating substance use challenges. She has also provided support to students and staff across various school districts. 

Verónica is committed to empowering clients to achieve their personal and therapeutic goals. She employs a holistic approach, addressing the intricate connection between mind, body, and spirit to promote overall well-being. Her sessions offer a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can share their stories, explore their feelings, and embark on a journey of healing.
