SERVICES OFFERED

Therapy (In-Person and Virtual)
Receive services addressing depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, sleep problems, adolescent behavioral issues, relationship and family stress, etc. individually and together in the same place, at the same time, with the same treatment team. Services at the Cohen Clinics at Endeavors are provided by credentialed staff trained to work specifically with the military population.
Our Cohen Clinics provide Telehealth, a virtual therapy option that allows clients to attend appointments in real-time through confidential, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing software. Shown to be equally as effective as in-person therapy, video conferencing therapy has become a viable alternative to traditional on-site therapy. To utilize Telehealth, clients need a secure internet connection and a device such as a smartphone, computer, or tablet with audio and video capabilities.

Case Management
Based on specific needs, our case managers will link individuals to essential resources including housing, financial assistance, legal services, employment, education, medication management providers, etc., and will monitor referral results to ensure all needs are addressed.

Life-Skills & Wellness Events
Additional activities to build positive life skills and encourage wellness are offered through our Cohen Clinics. Veterans, active duty service members, military families, and community partners are invited to take advantage of financial and employment workshops, caregiver and military informed care trainings, marriage management, couples cooking classes, women Veterans groups, Yoga, Tai Chi, and more.

Support Groups
Our Cohen Clinics provide various support groups to help our clients achieve their goals. Topics in these groups include conquering anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder, art therapy, and anger management, and are specially designed for Veterans, active duty service members, and military families who are looking to build new friendships, gain a renewed sense of community, strengthen bonds with others through shared experiences, and learn new solutions that will assist them in handling challenges.

Kristy Dean is the Deputy Senior Director of Cohen Military Family Clinics at Endeavors. She is an experienced clinical supervisor, therapist, and non-profit leader with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry and in military settings. Kristy is skilled in crisis intervention, family therapy, clinical supervision, trauma, and life transitions.

Katherine Martin is the Clinic Director of The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, Killeen where she leads a multidisciplinary team providing services to post-9/11 Veterans, activity duty service members, and military families.
Katherine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked in the mental health field for over ten years, eight of those working specifically with military members and their families. Prior to working at The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, her experience included Director of Clinical Services at a local inpatient facility, Director of Specialty Courts and Social Work for Bell County while specifically enhancing the Veterans Treatment Court program, and program management of other grants and initiatives.
Katherine has training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with specific emphasis on working with individuals struggling with dual diagnoses. She is passionate about project management, best clinical practices, and ensuring the services delivered to our community are effective and integrative of all systems impacting the client.
When she is not at work, Katherine loves spending time with her daughter and family while looking for opportunities to travel and enjoy nature.
Jennifer Haley
jennifer Haley, LICSW, LCSW, is the Assistant Clinic Director at The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors in Killeen, where she supports clinical operations and provides services to post-9/11 veterans, active-duty service members, and military families.
Jennifer has worked in the mental health field since 2018, with experience serving military populations, individuals experiencing homelessness, and individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. As a military spouse since 2015, she brings both professional and personal understanding of the unique challenges military families face throughout transitions, deployments, and reintegration.
Prior to joining The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, Jennifer served as the Director of Housing Support in Georgia, where she developed a housing program from the ground up that secured and maintained stable housing for more than 300 individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. She also has experience working alongside the Department of Veterans Affairs supporting veterans experiencing crisis, suicidality, substance use disorders, and addiction.
Jennifer has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and military transition support. She is passionate about improving access to care, reducing stigma surrounding mental health treatment, and supporting clinicians in providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Known for her collaborative, approachable, and solutions-focused style, Jennifer strives to create an environment where individuals and families feel supported, respected, and encouraged in reaching their goals.
Jennifer earned her Master of Social Work degree from St. Cloud State University. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and spending time with her family and dogs.
Davie White
Veteran
Davie White is a Regional Data Manager for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics at Endeavors. In his role, Davie coordinates, develops, and creates reports that show the clinic’s health by making key performance indicators (KPIs) readily readable.
Additionally, Davie is the administrator for the Electronic Health Record (EHR); he is responsible for upholding data integrity and maintaining up-to-date records by using data visualization software that shows if there are missing, overdue, or out-of-the norm items. Davie’s background and experience in hardware repair allow him to contribute to the clinic as the De Facto onsite IT tech. He took it upon himself to learn Tableau Desktop, the record-keeping interface for Cohen Veteran Network and earned his Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification.
A U.S. Navy Veteran, Davie is a current Assistant Scoutmaster with a local Boy Scout Troop, where he mentors scouts in the area of personal fitness, archery, and orienteering. He is also a second degree Black Belt in the Korean martial art of Mu Sool Won, a Level 1 Certified Instructor with the United States Archery Association (USA Archery), and a Harley Davidson rider.
Sarah Mason
Sarah Mason is a Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, Killeen, where she provides mental health treatment to Veterans and military families. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Education in Counseling. Prior to her professional journey as a counselor, Ms. Mason successfully transformed smaller childcare centers beyond their perceived capacity by training teams to solidify strong communication skills, leadership style, and team-oriented visions in her role as a Childcare Director and Child Care Consultant.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Ms. Mason is passionate about creating a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients in many challenging settings such as in a hospital room, prison cell, or via telehealth services. Sarah has provided therapeutic treatment, suicide intervention, and post-release resources for individuals and families across Texas since 2014. She utilizes a holistic, compassionate approach in meeting the needs of her patients and walking with them through life transition cycles such as illness, trauma, incarceration, substance abuse, domestic violence, and many other challenges.
Outside of work, she enjoys practicing art therapy and painting, meditating, and spending quality time with her family on fishing trips.
Angelia Batie
Angelia Batie serves as the Office Manager for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, Killeen, where she manages the office’s day-to-day administrative functions and supports the clinical, outreach, and case management staff.
In the healthcare field for over 35 years, Angelia’s experience has proven to be beneficial to the success of the team. In addition to being responsible for the administration and monitoring of all CARF requirements, she also serves as a key member of the billing team, collaborating with Cohen Veterans Network’s (CVN) Revenue Cycle Manager (RCM) to address trends in claims and payor discrepancies.
Angelia is the spouse of an Army Veteran and is a mother of three children.
Angelia is the widow of an Army Veteran and is a mother of three children. She has volunteered in her community for over 20 years and has served on the City of Killeen Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) committee.
She enjoys boutique shopping, visiting small towns in tucked-away places, and reading a good book.
Doris Brazzale
Doris Brazzale is the Program Assistant for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, Killeen, where she performs administrative duties in a timely and accurate manner. In her role, Doris maintains databases, program and client files, and confidentiality. She also monitors emails and supports the Office Manager in the daily operations of the clinic.
A certified customer service specialist, Doris provides exceptional customer service to both external and internal clients and creates a positive first impression for callers and visitors.
Doris, a proud Italian, moved to Texas in 2012. A military widow, Doris is the Gold Star Program co-Chairperson for the 173d Airborne Brigade Association.
Doris has three children and is an avid cyclist. She enjoys cycling with her youngest daughter, a mountain bike racer, is a ride leader for one of the local cycling groups, and is a NICA coach level 3 for the NTX NICA Cycling Team
Jessie McCarty
Jessie McCarty is a Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, Killeen, where she provides mental health services to post-9/11 Veterans, activity duty service members, and military families.
Jessie holds a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Texas A&M University- Central Texas and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been providing mental health support to the community of Central Texas for nearly ten years. Jessie’s professional experience includes trauma-informed substance use treatment, acute psychiatric care, and program management.
Jessie operates from a person-centered, trauma-informed perspective to provide evidence-based treatment interventions to individuals recovering from traumatic experiences, substance use, life transitions, relationship distress, and other challenges. Jessie passionately believes in the power of relationship and strives to offer clients a safe framework to support their healing.
Huong (Becky) Phan
Becky Phan is a dedicated Case Manager at The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors in Killeen. Her primary responsibility is to deliver comprehensive, effective, and innovative resource services to individuals connected to the Cohen Clinic at Endeavors, particularly those within the military and veteran community. Becky plays a vital role in facilitating access to services and coordinating their availability within the local community. With a background as a U.S. Army veteran, Becky brings a unique perspective to her work. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a concentration in Middle Eastern Studies and Diplomacy from the University of South Alabama, as well as master’s degrees in Human Services and Professional Counseling from Amridge University. Currently, Becky is actively pursuing her professional counseling license and is a proud member of the American Counseling Association. Outside of her professional engagements, Becky finds joy in spending time with her partner, exploring new interests, and continually expanding her skill set through self-directed learning.
Kwasi Asamoah
Veteran
Kwasi Asamoah is an Intake Coordinator for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, Killeen. His role is to provide information about the Cohen Clinic at Endeavors to those interested in services and conduct initial screening, intake, and biopsychosocial assessment for all active duty service embers, veterans, and military families to ensure timely access to care.
Kwasi is a U.S. Navy veteran. He holds a Bachelor's degree in political science and psychology from University of Ghana and a master's degree in executive leadership from Liberty University. Driven by a desire to make a difference in the lives of others, Kwasi decided to pursue a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Kwasi has a passion for the veteran population. This passion led him to an internship at a VA hospital, where he provided invaluable support to veterans struggling with mental health challenges. He is also working toward his professional counseling license. He is a member of the American Counseling Association.
Kwasi loves to spend time with his family outside of work, read Christian literatures, and volunteer at his local church serving as a Sunday school teacher.
Geri Hopkins
Geri Ann Hopkins is a Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, Killeen, where she provides mental health treatment to Active Duty, Veterans and military families. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Geri Ann is passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges with compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based care. As a veteran, she brings firsthand understanding of military culture, the unique demands of service life, and the transitions that impact service members, veterans, and their families.
Geri Ann’s clinical work focuses on helping clients navigate relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, communication difficulties, life transitions, and stress related to military service. She strives to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives and relationships.
Working within a military community has strengthened her commitment to culturally competent care that honors resilience while recognizing the emotional impact of deployments, separations, career changes, and reintegration into civilian life. Geri Ann utilizes approaches grounded in systems theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based interventions, and strength-focused practices tailored to each client’s goals and needs.
Geri Ann believes healing happens through connection, authenticity, and practical support. Her goal is to help clients build healthier relationships, improve emotional well-being, and develop tools that foster long-term growth both personally and professionally.
Alan Gibson
Alan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals find purpose, heal from challenging life experiences, and recognize their inherent self-worth. He earned his Bachelor of Psychology from Grand Canyon University and his Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University.
Alan is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and other evidence-based therapeutic modalities. His clinical approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed care.
As a combat veteran, Alan brings a high level of understanding, empathy, and authenticity to his work with veterans and individuals impacted by trauma. He strives to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to process their experiences, build resilience, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.
In his free time, Alan enjoys spending time outdoors and practicing martial arts.
Lexus Edwards
Lexus Edwards is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to individuals navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, trauma, and other emotional challenges. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed approaches to help clients develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Lexus is committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. She believes in meeting clients where they are and partnering with them to identify strengths, overcome obstacles, and achieve their personal goals. Through a collaborative and client-centered approach, Lexus helps individuals build resilience and move toward greater well-being and fulfillment.
Jered Benedick
Jered joins our team with over 15 years as a clinician. He has graduate degrees in both clinical social work and religious studies from the University of Texas in Arlington and Harding University in Arkansas.
Jered focuses on empowering individuals to find solutions that will help give them the quality of life they crave and overcome the obstacles standing in their way. He feels reaching out for help is never easy and admires the courage to take steps to heal, get better, and discover one’s best life.

Jered married his high school sweetheart and has been married 25 years and has two children. He loves to work outside and attend sporting events.
Stephanie Stear
Stephanie Stear is a Fellow for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, Killeen, where she provides mental health treatment to veterans and military family members. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in the state of Texas.
As an LPC-Associate, Stephanie is passionate about creating a warm, collaborative space where clients feel seen and supported. She is proud to provide affirming care to individuals from all backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ clients. She utilizes an integrative approach to treatment, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to meet the unique needs of each individual she serves. Stephanie is honored to work alongside veterans and their loved ones, walking with them through personal challenges and life transitions with compassion and evidence-based care.
As a military spouse of 23 years and mother of three adult children, Stephanie brings a deeply personal understanding of the military lifestyle and the unique demands it places on service members and their families. This lived experience informs her work and her commitment to the military community she is proud to serve. Outside of work, she enjoys video games, knitting, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Selena Villa
Veteran
Selena Villa is a Clinic Community Liaison for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, Killeen. Selena brings leadership skills that she developed during her time in the military. In her role, she is responsible for networking and cultivating relationships with local organizations to manage and develop community events for the military community, as well as the public, in need of mental health services.
Selena holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from the American Military University. Prior to receiving her degree, she served as a Behavioral Health Technician in the United States Army for five years, during which she deepened her expertise in mental health. Currently, she is actively pursuing her master’s degree in healthcare administration.
Daniela Vargas
Daniela Vargas serves as a Clinical Fellow, where she is committed to supporting individuals in accessing mental health services. As a military spouse, she understands the importance of resilience and adaptability, which she brings into her work.
Holding a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential, Daniela has a strong foundation in psychology and social work. With a background in psychology from New Mexico State University and master’s in social work from the University of Texas at El Paso, Daniela strives to assist clients in navigating their mental health journeys by conducting assessments and helping connect them with the appropriate resources. She takes a strengths-based, client-centered approach, believing in everyone’s ability to grow and heal. Above all, she is dedicated to fostering a supportive and welcoming environment where clients feel empowered in their treatment process.

The Cohen Clinics at Endeavors offer services provided by credentialed staff trained to work specifically with the military population. Veterans, active duty service members (with a TRICARE referral), and military families can receive mental health care individually and together in the same place, at the same time, with the same treatment team.
Case management support and local referrals to help with education, employment, financial assistance, housing, and legal issues are also available via the Cohen Clinics.
