Disaster Relief in North Carolina

Disaster Relief & Emergency Services

Still recovering after Hurricane Florence? Endeavors North Carolina may be able to help.

Natural disasters hit everyone differently. That’s why Endeavors provides comprehensive, individualized Disaster Case Management (DCM) for survivors of natural disasters. Here are the details.

Why Disaster Recovery?

You can plan and plan, but when disaster strikes, you don’t always know where to turn. Furthermore, FEMA assistance doesn’t always extend to an individual’s full scope of recovery needs, and not everyone who needs assistance qualifies for FEMA. Endeavors steps in to assist people in crisis when others can’t.

Our Disaster Case Managers are on the ground, creating solutions, and helping you get back to better.

So, how exactly does DCM work? At Endeavors, we focus on three things:

  • Developing Personalized Recovery Plans
  • Creating Safe Environments
  • Providing Resource Referrals

Additionally, Endeavors has built a wide network of community partnerships, enabling our Disaster Case Managers to quickly connect clients with the resources and services they need. We have established successful community partnerships with Long-Term Recovery Groups(LTRGs), Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (VOADS), community nonprofits, municipalities, homeless/housing coalitions, and others assisting local communities impacted by federally declared disasters. Through collaboration and referrals, we partner with these organizations to help clients repair, rebuild, and restore.

How is Endeavors Providing Disaster Case Management for North Carolinians?

In 2018, Hurricane Florence hit North Carolina hard. We’re talking winds over 130 mph, devastating agricultural losses, and over 50 flood- and wind-related fatalities. Flash flooding left thousands of people stranded, waiting for rescue from boats, helicopters, and Humvees. Countless schools, hospitals, and homes were completely destroyed or severely damaged. Thousands in North Carolina were in crisis.

Fortunately, much of North Carolina has recovered by leaps and bounds. But, the recovery effort still continues today. There are still roofs to rebuild, appliances to replace, and individuals and families displaced by the storm who need safe and secure housing.

Our services are based out of our offices in Jacksonville and Fayetteville and include…

  • Personalized Recovery Plans
  • Connection to immediate community resources
